CONBERG JUNIOR HOCKEY 2024
INFORMATION LETTER
Dear Parents,
We are super excited to be heading into the 2024 hockey season.
Welcome back to our members as well as new members who will be joining the Conberg family!
Pre-season
Pre-season practices will start on Monday 4th March. Please see practice days and times under
the relevant age groups below.
The preseason practices will be open to all players, non-members too, and will run until the 20th
of March.
The pre-season sessions are not compulsory and we do not expect your child to start if they are
still busy with their summer schedules. We are offering it for those who would like to attend.
Trial dates
U13 Boys:
Saturday 6th April: 08:00 – 09:30
U13 Girls:
Saturday 6th April: 09:30 – 11:00
U15 Boys:
Saturday 6th April: 11:00 – 12:00
U15 Girls:
Saturday 6th April: 12:00 – 13:00
It is important that your son/daughter attends trials.
Please let Chelsea know if they are unable to attend.
Registration and Fees
Please register your son/daughter as a member – click the link on the right hand side of any page on our website or click HERE, and select either U13 or U15 league.
If your son/daughter has previously been a member, then you do not need to register again.
Our junior fee is R 2000 per season.
This does not include the SAHA registration fee. All players are required to register on SAHA
and their fee is to be paid directly to them. (2024 fee is yet to be confirmed)
League games will start in April and will run until August. We will let you know as soon as we
receive the fixtures from the union.
U13 League
Your child needs to be turning 12 or 13 in 2024 in order to play in this league (Gr6 or 7 in 2024).
This is a union stipulated rule put in place for the safety of your children.
Practice Days
U13 Boys: Monday 18:00 – 19:00
Coaches: Doug Klazinga & Rory Isaacs
U13 Girls: Wednesday 18:00 – 19:00
Coaches: Chelsea Lassen, Caylee Nell & Jess Cooke
U15 League
Your child needs to be turning 14 or 15 in 2024 in order to play in this league (Gr8 or 9 in 2024).
This is a union stipulated rule put in place for the safety of your children.

U15 Girls: Tuesday 18:00 – 19:00
Coaches: Courtney Wheeler & Leya Patel
U15 Boys: Thursday 18:00 – 19:00
Coaches: Warwick Rowell & Ryan Nell
Conberg kit
We will be phasing in the new Conberg kit over the next two years. Your child may continue to
wear the kit they have or order the new kit.
If you are wanting to purchase Conberg kit for the season – you will need to order via the Google form HERE.

Kit prices are as follows:
Tops: R 400
Skorts/shorts: R 400
Socks: R 80
Warm-up Top: R 300 (optional)
Hoodies: R 450 – batch orders done twice during season (optional)
